Town Hall Sessions

On Oct. 2, the Chancellor Search Advisory Committee hosted town hall sessions for faculty, staff and students to further explore the priorities of the campus community when it comes to selecting UC Merced's top leader.

Letter from President Napolitano

After the events, University of California President Janet Napolitano sent the following letter to the campus:

Dear UC Merced Community,

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all the faculty, staff and students who participated in the town halls at the UC Merced campus on Oct. 2. Thank you for the time and thoughtfulness you had put into providing feedback to the Search Advisory Committee. I value your input and the opportunity that you have given the Search Advisory Committee to hear your views on what is important to you in the next UC Merced Chancellor.

If you did not have an opportunity to attend one of the town hall sessions or would like to provide additional feedback, please take the opportunity to do so through the online survey.

I am confident that we will find a great chancellor to help continue and build on the success of UC Merced.

Sincerely,

Janet Napolitano
